Salsa Rustler SLX - 2023

Rustler SLX is designed from the ground up to be a playful trail bike. An aluminum frame, responsive trail geometry, and the agility of 27.5" wheels mean you can get creative with the trail features. Rustler's Split Pivot suspension design makes the most of its 130 mm of rear travel and is active while accelerating, braking, and climbing for reliable traction. Shimano's SLX drivetrain performs smoothly ride after ride, and the four-piston hydraulic brakes bring the action to a halt when you need it. With space for a full-size water bottle and a top tube mount for ride accessories, it's easier to keep the fun rolling.

SPLIT PIVOT® REAR SUSPENSION SYSTEM:
Split Pivot provides a host of impressive suspension characteristics because the system isolates pedaling forces and braking forces from each other, allowing us to tune and optimize the bike for both independently. The concentric rear axle pivot, in conjunction with precise wheel link, brake link, and control link placement, results in: Excellent bump compliance / Incredible pedaling efficiency / Smooth and predictable braking throughout travel / Maximum traction.

ON-BIKE STORAGE:
Salsa innovated new bottle and accessory mount placements for added utility and ride range. Our gravel and road bikes have mounts on the top tube and underside of the down tube, plus up to five additional bottle mounts for extra hydration, ride accessories, and bikepacking gear. Our mountain bike line features top tube mounts, mounts on the underside of the down tube on hardtail models, and space for multiple bottles on hardtails and select suspension bikes.

FRAME PROTECTION:
We use various materials to protect our frames and forks from damage, whether it’s a rock strike on the trail or thick, abrasive mud on your favorite gravel route.
