Nano 40 is built for speed. A nearly uninterrupted centerline provides swift efficiency on hardpack terrain while staggered outer knobs allow you to stay on the gas while hammering up chunky climbs or hanging on through loose gravel corners. The high-volume 40mm casing allows for lower tire pressures and a smoother ride while still reducing drag and rolling resistance. This makes for an all-out gravel destroyer that still appeases those clamoring for a truly big cyclocross tire. Everybody's irrefutable favorite, 'nough said.
SG2 PUNCTURE PROTECTION:
This tire is available with our all-new SG2 Puncture Protection, which is a lightweight nylon insert that provides bead-to-bead coverage and ensures every area of the tire is defended against slashes and punctures. As events become progressively rougher and cyclists pedal farther, gravel gets tougher. It only makes sense for gravel tires to become tougher as well.
- Nylon fibers have a flat profile, which reduces the amount of rubber needed to fill the gaps between fibers and minimizes weight.
- Protected SG2 gravel tires feature a 120tpi casing, which improves suppleness compared to a traditional 60tpi tire.
- SG2 was specifically designed to be a puncture protection layer, but it also improves air retention and eliminates seeping at the sidewall.
FEATURES:
- Minimal rolling resistance due to raised, consistent centerline tread.
- Long, staggered knobs provide steadfast traction without cutting down on speed.
- TCS Light/Fast Rolling versions of the Nano 40 tire provide ultimate tubeless reliability for gravel or cyclocross racing.
- Race and Comp level tires are designed to provide optimal performance at a competitive weight but must be used with inner tubes. Race and Comp level tires are not tubeless compatible.

Add the transitional height mid and side tread, and the Terreno Dry transitions as smoothly as it rolls. The exclusive 3C Graphene compound structure places 3 unique compounds where you need them most, adding to the performance. From gravel grinding to medium conditions cross racing, the Terreno Dry offers consistent performance.
- Center scales are ramped, providing a fast rolling leading edge, yet sharp effective braking and cornering edges

The Barlow Pass is the sweet spot for most all-road bikes. We name our tires after the passes in the Cascade Mountains that inspire them: Barlow Pass is near the ghost town of Monte Cristo in the northern Cascades. Barlow Pass is the perfect tire for rides that combine equal portions of pavement and gravel: light enough so your bike retains the nimble feel of a road bike, yet 38mm wide to give you amazing traction on pavement and off.
The Standard casing is comfortable and fast, yet also strong to withstand considerable abuse.
The Extralight casing takes the performance, comfort and feel of your bike to an entirely new level.
The Endurance casing is reinforced for extra sidewall protection and puncture resistance, while retaining the speed and comfort for which Rene Herse tires are famous.
$84.00 - $109.00
Speed demons have been clamoring for a halfway slick option—a tire that marries the quickness of our slicks with the grip of our knobbies. They weren't interested in a regular halfway slick, but the identical circular shape to our other Rene Herse tires for steady cornering traction in all situations—be it a sloppy gravel race or a lightning-fast downhill with tight switchbacks.
We reinvented semi-slick tires over a three-year period, resulting in three new patents. The Corkscrew Climb semi-slick is named after the biggest climb of the SBT GRVL race in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Instead of distinct tread zones, the slick tread seamlessly transitions into the side knobs for better and more predictable grip. Our clever noise cancelling technology makes this tire eerily quiet, making it perfect for gravel riding.
Innovations abound: The tread radius is larger than the casing, making for a tire that turns like a wider one. This also lets us keep the center tread thin and smooth for minimal rolling resistance, while the high side knobs ensure top-notch grip on sinking surfaces.
Double up with our bendable casings, and BOOM! a semi-slick tire that's speedier than the slickest on the block. We ain't throwing around "revolution" willy-nilly - test these bad boys out for yourself and let us know if you catch a change!
Choose the Standard casing for an affordable yet durable option, providing both comfort and speed while enduring heavy use. Upgrade to the Extralight casing for a noticeable increase in performance, comfort, and feel. For added protection against sidewall damage and punctures without sacrificing speed and comfort, go with the Endurance casing. And for the toughest conditions, the Endurance Plus casing offers the ultimate in sidewall protection.

The ultimate tire for bikepacking and gravel adventures – and recipient of Bikepacking.com’s coveted ‘Gear of the Year’ award for the ‘Best New Component.’ Developed together with bikepacking legend Lael Wilcox, the Fleecer Ridge measures 29 x 2.2 (or 700C x 55 mm), making it a perfect fit for bikepacking bikes.
We name our tires after the passes that inspire them: Fleecer Ridge is the toughest climb on the incredible Tour Divide that traverses the Rocky Mountains from Canada to the Mexican border. On a ride that long, you’ll need a tire that can handle a huge range of conditions, from deep snow and mud via fast gravel to pavement as you descend into towns to resupply.
The Fleecer Ridge grips like a knobby when conditions get tough. On pavement, it rolls like a slick tire thanks to its large and strategically placed knobs that don’t squirm and always put the same amount of rubber on the road. The Fleecer Ridge is the world’s first bicycle tire with noise cancellation.
The Standard casing is comfortable and fast, yet also strong to withstand considerable abuse.
The Endurance casing is reinforced for extra sidewall protection and puncture resistance, while retaining the speed and comfort for which Rene Herse tires are famous.
$98.00
At 48 mm wide, the Hatcher Pass hits the sweet spot between narrow gravel tire (38 mm) and mountain bike volume (55 mm) – ideal for the latest generation of gravel and all-road bikes.
Named after Lael Wilcox’s favorite road in Alaska, this tire perfect for Hatcher Pass: The front side of the climb is paved and leads to Independence Mine (an abandoned gold mine that is now a state park). The back side is dirt. In August and September there are fields full of wild blueberries near the top.
The Standard casing is comfortable and fast, yet also strong to withstand considerable abuse.
The Endurance casing is reinforced for extra sidewall protection and puncture resistance, while retaining the speed and comfort for which Rene Herse tires are famous.

Whether you race gravel or head into unknown terrain, the Hurricane Ridge gives you the confidence that you’ll be able to handle everything from fast pavement to deep mud or snow.
Named after one of the biggest climbs in the Northwest, the Hurricane Ridge uses Rene Herse's revolutionary dual-purpose knobby tread. The tire is always supported by the same amount of rubber, whether it’s rolling forward or leaning into a turn. This gives you uniform grip at all times – whether in a muddy gravel race or during a paved descent with ultra-fast hairpin turns.
The Standard casing is comfortable and fast, yet also strong to withstand considerable abuse.
$98.00
Trying to choose between a knobby, semi-slick, or full slick for an upcoming ride or race? The Manastash Ridge handles everything from fast pavement to deep mud or snow. Named after a rugged ridge in central Washington, the Manastash Ridge uses our revolutionary dual-purpose knobby tread. Strategic placement of the knobs means the tire is always supported by the same amount of rubber, whether rolling forward or leaning into a turn. This gives you uniform grip at all times – whether in a muddy gravel race or during a paved descent with ultra-fast hairpin turns.
Our new Brake Support technology ensures that the knobs don’t fold over, even under the massive g-forces generated by the best hydraulic discs. Noise canceling technology makes this knobby tire as quiet and smooth as a slick—even on pavement. No matter what the course throws at you, the Manastash Ridge has you covered.
The Standard casing is our more affordable option: comfortable and fast, yet also strong to withstand considerable abuse. The Extralight casing takes the performance, comfort and feel of your bike to an entirely new level. The Endurance casing is reinforced for extra sidewall protection and puncture resistance, while retaining the speed and comfort for which Rene Herse tires are famous. The Endurance Plus casing provides the ultimate in sidewall protection for extremely tough conditions.
The Manastash Ridge is tubeless-compatible. For tubeless setup, we recommend Rene Herse Supple Sealant. When used with tubes, we recommend Rene Herse TPU tubes.
Pro Tip: Compared to the similar-sized Hurricane Ridge, the Manastash Ridge is a newer design with (slightly) lower rolling resistance. It is quieter thanks to noise canceling technology. It handles even better, especially under hard braking. The Hurricane Ridge with its more open tread pattern excels in deep, sticky mud.
$98.00
A road-centric knobby? A dirt-ready road tire? You decide! At 48 mm wide, the Oracle Ridge hits the sweet spot between narrow gravel tire (38 mm) and mountain bike volume (55 mm) – ideal for the latest generation of gravel and all-road bikes.
We’ve developed the Oracle Ridge together with bikepacking legend Lael Wilcox, and we’ve named it after one of Lael’s favorite routes: Oracle Ridge is a beautiful gravel climb outside Tucson, AZ, which connects to the backside of Mount Lemmon for an ultra-fast descent on pavement.
On the gravel climb, this tire grips tenaciously thanks to its large and widely spaced knobs. On the descent, it corners like a slick thanks to its large and strategically placed knobs that don’t squirm and always put the same amount of rubber on the road.
The Oracle Ridge features our noise cancellation technology.
The staggered tread blocks create overlapping noise frequencies that partially cancel each other. The Oracle Ridge’s speed, grip and lack of noise make you forget you’re riding a knobby – until you hit some loose or muddy ground and appreciate the extra grip.
The Standard casing is comfortable and fast, yet also strong to withstand considerable abuse.
