COLORADO E-BIKE TAX CREDIT 2026
The state e-bike tax credit discount will decrease to $225 on January 1, 2026.
Until then, The Colorado e-bike tax credit is still active for 2025. All Coloradans can still enjoy a $450 discount on the purchase of a qualifying new e-bike - applied instantly at the point of sale.

Here is what you need to know:
- Proof of residency is required
- License, bill, bank statement, etc.
- Each person can only receive one discount per calendar year
- Purchases made on the website, whether shipped or ordered for online pickup, must be paid in full. You will receive a refund of $450 once you show proof of residency.
- Eligible only on new e-bike purchases
- E-bike must be UL certified ( UL2849, UL2271, EN14194). ALL of the e-bikes that we carry are eligible!
- No minimum or maximum price restrictions apply.

CITY OF DENVER E-BIKE REBATE
We are one of the participating shops in a program offering e-bike rebate vouchers for Denver residents every other month. These vouchers are applied right at checkout, so the rebate amount is deducted from the price of your e-bike or e-cargo bike when you buy it. No need to submit receipts or wait for reimbursement - it's that easy! Vouchers are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to grab yours while they last!
The breakout is:
$450 State tax credit – applied first,
$450 City of Denver voucher – applied second.
The $900 can only cover 80% of the price of the e-bike, not including
sales tax.

HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR AN E-BIKE REBATE?
Find the qualifications needed to participate in Denver's E-Bike and E-Cargo Instant Rebate program and Colorado's E-Bike and E-Cargo Bike Rebate program below.
To be eligible for the standard e-bike rebate voucher you must be at least 16 years of age and a resident of Denver, Colorado. You will need to provide document(s) to prove your physical address and the documents must be dated within one year of application. Here are examples of documents that you can use: Colorado Drivers License, Computer Generated Bill, Bank Statement, Pre-Printed Pay Stub, First-Class Mail. You can find a complete list of eligible documents on Denver’s website.
Colorado's E-bike Rebate Program:
To be eligible for the standard e-bike rebate voucher you must be at least 18 years of age, a resident of the State of Colorado, and income-qualified. You will need to provide document(s) to prove your physical address and the documents must be dated within one year of application. Here are examples of documents that you can use: Colorado Drivers License, Computer Generated Bill, Bank Statement, Pre-Printed Pay Stub, First-Class Mail. You can find a complete list of eligible documents on Colorado's Website.
To be eligible for the Income-Qualified E-Bike Rebate you must be 16+ years old, a resident of Denver AND your household must be below 60% of the state of Colorado’s median income OR or below 200% of the relevant federal poverty level, OR below 80% of area median income. You will need to provide at least one document to confirm that your household meets the income requirements. For a list of eligible documents visit Denver’s website.
Colorado's E-bike Rebate Program:
To meet the income-qualifications for the moderate-income rebate, your household income needs to be between 80% - 100% of the area median income (AMI). To meet the income-qualifications for the low-income rebate, your household income needs to be below 80% - 100% of the area median income (AMI). For more information visit Colorado's Website.
To qualify for the Adaptive E-Bike Rebate you must have a disabling condition that significantly impairs your ability to ride a standard e-bike. You will need a written verification from a Professional as proof that you require an adaptive e-bike. Unlike applications for the Standard Rebate and the Income-Qualified Rebate, Adaptive Rebate applications can be submitted at any time. E-BIKE ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for e-bike voucher redemption, your e-bike can be a Class 1, Class 2 or Class 3 e-bike — see below for classification details. Your e-bike must have two wheels, the motor must be 750 watts or less, it cannot be gas powered, and it cannot be a full suspension mountain bike. There is no minimum or maximum purchase price.

To be eligible your e-cargo bike must be designed to carry a rider + one or more passengers or designed to carry loads that are heavier or bulkier than a normal bike can handle. The frame must be extended and must have a published load carrying capacity of 100+ lbs.
