Just Arrived: Push industries elEvensix

Tailored suspension for every rider

By Evan Lee

What Ridge Cyclery is pleased to announce we now carry Push Industries Elevensix coil shock upgrades for many of the longer travel mountain bikes we sell. These revolutionary shocks garner rave reviews and have flipped the perception of coil shocks as heavy, downhill-only applications.

THE ELEVENSIX IS HERE!

Push Industries Elevensix coils have hit the floor! This shock is literally custom made to your specifications – a completely tailored ride experience dictated by your individual requirements and your bike. This is top-shelf, sponsored-athlete level performance and service custom built just for you.

And it’s so easy. You give us your weight – in full riding kit – along with your riding style and the frame you’re riding, and Push takes it from there.  It’s really that simple. As Push says, “this is the easiest way to upgrade your rear suspension without knowing a thing about rear suspension.”

WHY SWITCH TO COIL?

The benefits are undeniable. If you’ve already heard anything about Elevensix it’s probably things like:

It has completely changed the way I ride.

This shock has made descending so plush, while thoroughly enhancing traction on the climbs.

It’s like two shocks in one.

It inspires confidence.

I never knew my bike could ride this well.

Seemingly endless travel, that’s also completely supportive.

If you’re not completely blown away at this transformative mountain bike experience, we’ll eat a tire. It’s that good!

You’ve also likely heard it’s not cheap at $1,200.

IS IT WORTH THE PRICE?

One word: Science.

Push Industries Research & Development department is comprehensively exhaustive in its data gathering. When developing Elevensix for a particular bicycle frame, they buy the bike and put it through a full evaluation in stock trim, tuning the stock suspension until it’s fully optimized.

Next they install prototype Elevensix configurations to each bike to check for clearance and to perform a full kinematic analysis.

Multiple prototype shocks are then installed and ride tested with Push’s proprietary on-board data logging technology. This is how they record information such as suspension travel, velocity, and acceleration. It is precisely this level of innovation and quality control allows them to produce what is arguably the best mountain bike coil shock extant.

PUSH Industries precision manufactures each of their CNC-machined components in-house in Loveland, Colorado, with domestic materials sourced from American production companies. All final shock assembly and tuning is performed by hand.

The precision coil springs themselves are made by HyperCo, the famed American suspension spring manufacturer to the motor sports world.

Elevensix is completely and totally a 100% American-made product.

CONCLUSION

If you’re riding a full suspension mountain bike with 140mm to 170mm of travel, you may be interested to experience the benefits of a coil shock. While air shocks have dominated the market for over a decade now, coils are beginning to appear more frequently on enduro and trail bikes.

WRC has three bikes on the floor with Elevensix installed for test rides.  If you want Eleven six on a bike you’re buying or just want to upgrade your current ride, we can have it here and installed in just a few days.  Stop by the shop or give us a call at (303) 424-3221 to test ride an Elevensix coil today!
