Director of Finance and HR
The Director of Finance and Human Resources will support the organization’s overall business strategy through effective management of financial, administrative, and human resource functions. This includes assisting the General Manager with budget preparation, conducting financial analysis and preparing financial reports, developing and maintaining an effective system of accounting, managing the payroll system, and maintaining accurate financial records for audit. The position is also responsible for the day-to-day operations of Human Resources, which includes responsibilities in functional areas such as employee relations, training and development, benefits, Human Resource Information System (HRIS), executive administration, compensation, and health and safety. The position works in collaboration with the Directors and other administrative team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the company’s consolidated forecast and financial statements.
- Prepare financial information for quarterly review and update of business and financial activity
- Provide analysis of operating results
- Work collaboratively with the leadership team to monitor expenditures and budgets
- Manage the insurance (property and casualty) and conduct risk assessments periodically
- Manage the credit function including approval of credit terms
- Assist and advise the Owner and GM in any financial or related matters
- Complete Bank and outside reporting requirements and reconciliations
- Responsible for all compliance reporting, registrations, contract tracking
- Manage accounts receivable and payable
- Reconcile cash, all bank accounts, receivables, payables, and accruals on a monthly basis
- Conduct daily banking activities and process payments
- Balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries
- Follow accounting policies and procedures
- Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process
- Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
- Evaluate accounting and internal control systems
- Oversees the daily workflow of the HR department
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn how to navigate the company HRIS system
- You’re equally comfortable working strategically and tactically to carry out various Human Resource initiatives.
- You’re strong in employee relations, leadership coaching/development, organizational structure and job design, and collaborating with various Human Resource partners across a system

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 4+ years relevant experience including full financial statement preparation
- Full accounting cycle experience
- Outstanding PC skills with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to think creatively working with key leaders for input
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
- Strong organizational abilities, including planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
- Solid time management skills and ability to work well under pressure and to meet set deadlines.
- Good judgment and decision-making abilities, including strong problem identification and issue resolution skills.
- Self-directed, with ability to work successfully both independently and as a team member
- Strong leadership skills and high energy level for team success in a small team environment
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and good interpersonal skills, with ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with diverse individuals or groups
- Strong sense of privacy and confidentiality
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual Salary Range including bonuses: $60,000-$100,000
