book your off-season service

By Evan Lee

If you faced last summer's frustration of long wait times for bike service, rest assured --  we were just as frustrated!

THE wrc service lab

WRC’s legendary service department features over a dozen dedicated benches manned by the most experienced, well-trained, and knowledgeable mechanics in the trade.  Add a team of dedicated service writers in the showroom, two full-time warranty technicians, a fully outfitted suspension lab, two dedicated build rooms for the new showroom bikes, and even an indoor hot-water bike wash room (really!) and – well, you get the picture: service at WRC runs more like the service department at a car or motorcycle dealership than a local bike shop.

With this level of expertise, knowledge, and tools comes a crushing volume in service tickets, which leads to long wait times during the busiest riding months of the year, March through October. For a shop with a reputation for exceptional customer service, it is quite aggravating for us to not be able to turn every service ticket in a day or two.

We call it that because back in the 1990s when we bought the building across the alley, it really was a laboratory!

One of the best ways to avoid the crush that will inevitably signal the arrival of spring is to get your bikes serviced in the off-season.  We are currently turning service tickets of all levels at the usual time frames.

Getting your bikes serviced and ready in winter allows you to ride a freshly serviced bike as soon as season arrives instead of standing in a line out the front door of the shop and waiting weeks for that tune-up.

It’s also a great time to get annual suspension service done on your mountain bike. We have all the necessary replacement parts and fluids in stock and our techs are ready to get your shock, fork, and dropper post perfectly plush for those first spring rides.

warranty

As previously mentioned, WRC has two warranty techs who will handle any issues you may have in the warranty arena. If something happened on that last cycling trip that may require warranty attention, and you have yet to address it, now is a great time to look into it.

That's A LOT of spokes!

wheel building

Another off-season project many of our customers pursue is wheel building. What better time of year to do that upgrade you’ve been dreaming of?

A custom wheelset is arguably the single best thing you can do to your bike to realize more performance and speed. We have rims, hubs, spokes and all the cool colors and brands available for you to spec a personally tailored set of new hand built wheels for your road, gravel, and mountain bikes.

EXPERTISE AND KNOWLEDGE

WRC’s Service Director, Doug Bittle, has been with the company since 1983. His department has been nationally recognized as one of the best in the business for decades.

Our technicians receive continued professional education and certification each year, and as new technological advances are introduced to market.  Many WRC techs have gone on to work for international pro race teams and even into product design at some of the world’s best bicycle brands.  Heck, Shimano Japan even sends engineers here for R&D work to improve their products!

When you bring your bike in for service at WRC, you’re entrusting it to an imminently capable team with a stellar reputation for getting your bike as dialed as it can possibly be.

Why wait?

Do it now and be ready for next spring’s first cycling days.
