We realized that Jack Taylor was nearing his 8,000th frame and wanted to do something special with the serial number of 8000, thus the JT 8000 was born. We had a draftsman who also raced bikes do a full size blueprint of the frame we wanted made.
We had the frame design analyzed for stress by an engineer at the School Of Mines based on our drawing. The frame was an overkill to safely accommodate four 200-pound riders going fifty miles per hour.
We sent the blue print to the Taylor Brothers in England to build the frame. They shipped only the frame back with a single coat of grey primer. Rich Gangl helped finish off all of the alignment of the braze-ons and helped us build the bike for test rides.

Chainrings: Campagnolo 64, 58, 36. The 64 was custom-made for the project
BBs: Suntour sealed.
Freewheel: Suntour New Winner 13, 15, 18, 22, 28, 34
Brakes: Three Phil Wood disc brakes with a custom front hub for reversing the thread on the hub for dual disc brakes
More Brakes: Two sets of V-brakes, and a Suntour XC powercam
